The Magnificent Marché Aux Puces de Saint-Ouen

Welcome to the world's biggest flea market--Marche Aux Puces de Saint Ouen (Les Puces for short). It's actually 15 flea markets in one. My favorite being Vernaison which is the "cheapest" of the 15. Think well loved copper pots for 35 euro.

A map of all the stalls.  Remember this is only 1/15 of the whole flea market. You could literally spend weeks here

The best things to buy or dream about buying at Les Puces:

French Kitchen Canisters

 Vintage Costumes

 Antique Kitchen Trinkets

Frames Galore!

Old Keys

Antique Toys

Furniture

Tassels, Fabric, Buttons and Beads!  (my inner monologue)

Skulls!

 Hardware

Key chains?

And...

so...

much...

more!

oh and paintings! That's me with my new painting and the artist who made it. Luckily I have The Magnificent Mom here to take my picture and explore with me!

Once you have shopped til you drop, I highly recommend getting lunch at a place deep inside Vernaison called Chez Louisette. The food is mediocre (not helpful that after I ordered the goat cheese salad I realized that I am officially 'over' goat cheese. That's right people, my goat cheese allergy is back), but the atmosphere is kind of outrageous. Everyday, all day, is "open mic night" where anyone can sing and then pass around a box for money. Do not accidentally put a British pound in said box. It will swiftly be removed. Apparently the thought is not what counts here.

Hopefully when you are there, it will be someone's birthday.  This person was "very vintage" our waiter told us. I both fear and am excited for the day I turn vintage.
